Benbrook Councilman, James Dean Schull, Vies for Texas State Representative.
Benbrook, Texas - Benbrook Attorney and City Councilman, James Dean Schull, announced his candidacy for the Texas Legislature. He is seeking to fill the State Representative seat, House District 97, vacated by Anna Mowery in the upcoming November 6, Special Election. "Due to our superior economy, The State of Texas is uniquely situated to provide its citizens with the very best opportunities concerning taxes, education, healthcare, security and jobs. I want to make sure we capitalize on those opportunities." said Schull.
Schull, a life long resident of West Fort Worth and Benbrook, graduated from Western Hills High School and Baylor University before receiving his law degree from Texas Wesleyan University. He was elected to the Benbrook City Council in 2005, and also serves on the Benbrook Economic Development Corporation, and as a board member for the Benbrook YMCA. Married to wife, Jennifer of 10 years, with son, Jayden, age 6, and daughter, Morgan, age 2, Schull maintains his law practice in Benbrook, TX.
Schull said that if elected he would focus on several major issues facing Texas today. "We must do what we can to make sure our State maintains it's focus on our priorities, not only now, but well into the future. We need to decrease taxes, make our education system the best in the nation, make quality health care more affordable to all Texans, aggressively increase border security, provide for safer cities and neighborhoods, and ensure quality jobs and sustainable economic growth," added Schull.
The special election will be held on November 6 with Early Voting starting October 22 for House District 97 which encompasses the Southwest corridor of Tarrant County.
"It's going to be an exciting election, and I look forward to it. I love Texas, especially, the Fort Worth and Benbrook area. This is my home. I am ready to make sure the future is secure for Texas, and to make that future a reality, now!" stated Schull.
