Benbrook Residents Recognized for Their Community Service
The YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth recently recognized Michele Youssi and the James and Jennifer Schull family for their service in Benbrook community and at the Benbrook Community Center / YMCA.
Michele Youssi was named the Henry Meadows Volunteer of the Year for the Benbrook Community Center / YMCA. Youssi has served on the YMCA board since 2004. During this time she raised money for the YMCA through their Step Up for Kids campaign and has organized many special events that the YMCA has hosted for the community.
The Schull family, James, Jennifer and their children, Jayden and Morgan were named the Benbrook Community Center / YMCA Family of Character. In addition to James serving on the Benbrook City Council and Jennifer serving as the Benbrook Chamber of Commerce Board Chair they have found time to serve the Benbrook Community Center / YMCA in many ways. Both have raised money to provide scholarships to the YMCA through the Step Up for Kids campaign. James also serves on the YMCA board. The entire family participates in YMCA programs and volunteer at YMCA events.
"Sometimes it amazes me what both Michele and the Schulls are able to do above and beyond running their own businesses and taking care of their families", said Joel Peal, Executive Director of the Benbrook Community Center / YMCA. "It is volunteers like these, which have high standards and values that assist us in building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities."
